5 Word Mini-Reviews: The Girl on the Train, In a Handful of Dust, Alice and the Fly, Hollow City

I have several books that I have not done full reviews for and I thought I would try to keep them short and sweet. I am going to try to keep them at five words (or less). I can be wordy sometimes so hopefully I am up to the challenge!

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
Review: Unreliable narrators. Shocking ending. Love!!

In a Handful of Dust (Not a Drop to Drink #2) by Mindy McGinnis
Review: Hopeful. Exhausting. Unsure about ending.

Alice and the Fly by James Rice
Review: Heartbreaking Unputdownable. Read this now!!!

Hollow City (Miss Peregrine's Peculiar Children #2) by Ransom Riggs
Review: Super creepy. Thrilling. Need finale!!!

  3. Here is my five-word headline for THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN: Delusional, raging alcoholic blacks out.

  4. Love this! I tend to get really wordy even in my mini reviews but this is such a clever idea. I could never stick to it, but I love it. =)

Great mini reviews, now I have to go look at this Alice and the Fly book.

  7. I LOOOOVE this idea! That is a challenge, I don't know if I could do it! I totally,100% agree about In a Handful of Dust. I REALLY wish there'd be a third book, I feel like it needs one. I am not done with that world yet!

  8. YAAAAY I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKED ALICE!!! That book, tho, omg. I am still flawed by how powerfully it was written.
I really want to read In A Handful of Dust too, but I'm kind of worried because the reviews haven't been totally favourable. :/

    1. Thanks Cait! I bought the book 100% based on your review and I am SO glad I did! In a Handful of Dust was not as good as the first one (of course), but it was still great. I just love Lynn and Lucy so much!
